With twenty years independent production experience, Dwight Coughlan has a thorough knowledge of the video industry and a keen interest in the latest developments in digital media. Prior to founding CIVA in 1995, Mr. Coughlan worked as a producer with one of Canada's largest banks. A highlight of his corporate career was the prestigious IABC Gold Quill award from the International Association of Business Communicators for production of a fast-paced video newsmagazine, ahead of its time in the employee communications field.
A graduate of the Broadcast Television program at Fanshawe College, Mr. Coughlan has been a part-time instructor and mentor to TV students. He contributes actively to the community, donning the “Dr. Beary Goode” costume and visiting sick kids at Children's Hospital of Western Ontario. He combines his love of motorcycling with charitable work as the co-founder of “Shride” an annual motorcycle ride for Shriners Hospitals and he spends the summer and fall participating in parades with the Mocha Motor Corps.
Dwight recently completed a 30-second PSA for the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame, a training series for bus drivers and a hard-hitting safety message for electrical contractors. He is currently in the pitching process for his dream project - a movie-of-the-week. |
